Associate Professor
Ulaş SOLMAZ

I have devoted my career to the field of gynecology and gynecologic oncology surgery, caring for women through some of the most meaningful and delicate moments of their lives. Over the years, I have had the privilege of guiding thousands of women through early diagnosis, surgical treatment, and recovery — always with one goal in mind: to help them return to life healthy, confident, and strong.

I completed my medical education at Inonu University Faculty of Medicine, followed by my specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ege University. Later, I pursued subspecialty training in Gynecologic Oncology Surgery at Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, focusing on the surgical treatment of gynecologic cancers. In 2017, I was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Experience in HPV and Colposcopy

HPV infection is one of the most common viral infections in women today — and one that often causes unnecessary fear. In reality, with accurate information, regular monitoring, and an experienced physician, HPV-related changes can be managed safely and effectively.

Throughout my practice, I have performed thousands of colposcopy procedures. For patients with positive HPV results or abnormal Pap smears, I aim to reach an accurate diagnosis through high-resolution colposcopic assessment, targeted biopsies, and personalized follow-up strategies. Colposcopy is not merely a visual examination of the cervix; it is an opportunity to detect early changes, prevent progression, and protect a woman’s future health.

If your HPV test is positive or your Pap smear report includes terms such as ASCUS, LSIL, or HSIL, a proper colposcopic evaluation can help prevent unnecessary anxiety and ensure timely, effective management. Accurate assessment and reassurance at this stage can make all the difference.

LEEP – A Precise and Safe Cervical Treatment

LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure) is one of the most effective treatments for removing abnormal cells from the cervix. When performed by skilled hands, it combines safety, precision, and excellent outcomes while preserving the integrity of cervical tissue.

Every tissue sample removed during LEEP is evaluated by a pathologist who specializes in gynecologic pathology, ensuring an accurate diagnosis and reducing the risk of recurrence. My approach prioritizes minimally invasive, gentle techniques to protect fertility and shorten recovery time.

Many of my patients say after their procedure, ‘It was easier than I expected.’ That is because clear communication, calm surroundings, and trust are just as essential as surgical expertise.

Patient-Centered Care

Undergoing an HPV test, colposcopy, or LEEP can be stressful. For me, medical care is not only about performing procedures — it is about providing understanding, clarity, and calm throughout the journey.

I take time to explain every step of the process, from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up. When women feel informed and supported, they approach their care with greater confidence — and that confidence is an important part of healing.

Scientific and Academic Work

I have contributed to numerous national and international publications, book chapters, and conference presentations on topics such as HPV, colposcopy, LEEP, cervical dysplasia, and gynecologic cancer surgery. My academic work has focused particularly on HPV-related lesions, post-LEEP follow-up, and the advancement of minimally invasive surgical techniques.

I closely follow international oncology guidelines, including NCCN and ESGO, and base every clinical decision on evidence-based medical standards.

My Mission

Women’s health can be protected through knowledge, prevention, and trust. My mission is to ensure that every woman experiences her HPV, colposcopy, or LEEP journey without fear — supported by accurate information and compassionate, expert care.

Early diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and attentive follow-up are the cornerstones of women’s health. Each day, I work with one purpose: to help women live — in health, with confidence, and renewed strength.
